Terms of Service

You must be at least 16 years old to use honey-do. To unlock the optional 18+ "Spicy" consequence presets, you and your partner both confirm you are at least 18 years old and consent to viewing mature content. Don't lie about your age — it's bad karma.

You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for everything that happens under your account, including any content shared by your partner if you've paired up. Notify us promptly at hello@usehoneydo.app if you suspect unauthorized use.

When you pair with a partner using a join code, the tasks, prompts, consequences, and "dog house" history you create together are visible to both of you. By inviting someone, you confirm you have their consent to share this information.

Don't use honey-do to harass, abuse, intimidate, or threaten anyone — including your partner. The "dog house" is meant to be playful. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that:

• Send threatening, hateful, sexual-without-consent, or illegal content
• Attempt to break, reverse-engineer, or abuse the Service
• Impersonate another person or misrepresent identity
• Use the Service for commercial spam or automated scraping

honey-do offers a free tier and an optional Premium subscription billed at $6.99 CAD/mo (about $4.99 USD) or $42 CAD/yr (about $29.99 USD). Paid plans renew automatically at the then-current price until cancelled. You can cancel from your account at any time; cancellation stops future renewals and takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

All sales are final, except where mandatory consumer-protection law in your country or region requires otherwise (see our Refund Policy). We do not offer refunds or pro-rated credits for partial billing periods, unused time, or unused features.

You retain ownership of the tasks, prompts, consequences, and other content you create ("Your Content"). You grant us a limited license to host, store, and display Your Content solely for the purpose of operating the Service for you and your paired partner. We do not sell Your Content and we do not use it to train AI models.

The 18+ "Spicy" consequence presets are intended for use only between two consenting adults in an existing romantic relationship. They are turned off by default and require explicit opt-in. We don't store, share, or publish your selections.

You may delete your account and all associated data at any time. If you are the member who pays for a couple's Premium subscription, deleting your account also cancels that subscription: no further charges are made, and Premium remains active until the end of the period already paid for (or ends immediately if no members remain). Your partner keeps their data and may subscribe in their own name. Deleting the account of a member who does not pay does not affect the subscription. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms. On termination, your tasks, prompts, and dog-house history are permanently deleted within 30 days.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, honey-do and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including domestic disputes, missed chores, or actual dog houses — arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Our total liability is capped at the greater of CAD $50 or the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll notify you in-app or by email at least 7 days before they take effect. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, except where mandatory consumer-protection law in your country or region of residence applies. The parties submit to the courts of Ontario, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles.
